there are so many surfing sites out there on the internet i have a hard time checking out them all. Some don't give you much in the way of info but surf travel is a great thing to get into. If you are into surfing that is. I was recently on a trip with some mates in Indo when we were deciding or not to head down to Sumbawa. I made it to an I.T. cafe in Bali and hooked up into a big wave surfing site. It had a great swell model that i didn't have to wait 10 minutes to download. As it showed a new swell hitting Sumbawa in a few days my mates and i took off on a charter boat and scored some great right and lefthanders at Gobbles and Carts. Gobbles is a fast winding lefthander with a playful section mid way culminating into a barrel that will eat you up if you play too much before it. Carts was only just found as a surfing destination. If you don't know where it is there is no way you can find it by boat, and the nearest town is a 20km hike or take the local transport, a cart ride. The ride itself is has a short pitching take off zone followed by the bowl of your life or the working of your life. It isn't for the faint hearted so you tend not to hang there for too long, 'cause the more playful wave of Gobbles beckons. Both work on the rising tide, both require booties as the reefs are sharp. Good luck finding them.
